🔍 TÜBİTAK 1001 Project: Research on Spatial Features and the Feeling of Safety 🔍

🧠 VR Study Participation Invitation

We are conducting a study as part of our TÜBİTAK 1001 project titled "Evaluating Spatial Features Affecting the Feeling of Safety in Streets Using Neuroscience and Machine Learning through Virtual Environments." We are currently looking for volunteer participants.

🧪 Study Details:

  • Type: Virtual Reality (VR) Experiment

  • Duration: ~1 hour

  • Location: ITU Ayazağa Campus, Electrical-Electronics Building, Room 1208 (UX Lab)

🔍 Study Procedure:

  1. Watch 10 short VR videos while physiological data is collected

  2. Complete a mood questionnaire about the videos

  3. Explore 2 virtual streets using a VR headset while data is collected

  4. Complete another mood questionnaire about the explored streets

🚫 Requirements:

  • No caffeine intake within 4 hours of the session

  • No alcohol consumption within the past 24 hours

İTÜ UX Laboratory

The UX Laboratory at Istanbul Technical University (ITU) was founded in 2013 with support from İSTKA and TURKCELL. Located in the Faculty of Computer and Informatics, it serves as a multidisciplinary research center focusing on user experience, human-computer interaction (HCI), and interface design.
